For our client, a dynamic and active company in the field of mechanics, we are looking for a R&D Engineer / Encoder specialist.
Key Responsibilities:- You are responsible of the encoder product development in various technologies
- You propose technical solution to customer need using any technologies of encoder
- You participate to encoder product road map definition in support to the product line manager
- You evaluate new chip available on the market
- You benchmark competition product and performances
- You complete POC (Proof Of Concept) and prototype assembly, characterization, and validation
Internal Relationships:- You collaborate with the other teams for mechanical integration of encoder (multi-site discussions)
- You participate to industrialization of the new product (provide inputs and support to manufacturing engineers)
- You support sales team to answer customer request for product customization and new product development
- You support operation for quality analysis
- You collaborate with sourcing team for validation of new suppliers
External relationships:- You will be in contact with supplier related to encoder product
- You are engaged with customer to understand need and propose technical solutions
- You are in close collaboration with PCB design partner
Your assets for your future employer : - Education: Master degree in electronic or electrical engineering
- Experience: at last 5 years of experience in the field of product design and development
- Fluent in French and English (spoken and written) with a very good communication
- You are able to follow a project plan with time and budget constraints, you have analytical skills and you are a problem solver
- You have knowledge in magnetism and ideally in motor driving (driver, encoder)
- Others essential competencies required : Numeric calculation capabilities, Basic PCB design, Simple motor driver design, Assembly process definition, Basic 3D design software (Solidworks), AMDEC / FMEA analysis
- Travel: As required not to exceed 10%. International travel 1-3 times per year
